Members of the Motgol Folk Preservation Society and a folk pungmul (percussion) band on Feb. 10 perform a jisinbapgi, a traditional ritual to salute the god of the land who protects villager homes, to ward off evil spirits and pray for good luck at the square of Nam-gu District in Busan. The event was held two days ahead of Jeongwol Daeboreum, a traditional festival marking the first full moon of the lunar new year.
